SCBA runs a variety of competitions throughout the year to give everyone a chance to play basketball.
Year 5 & 6 Primary Schools Comp
The year 5 & 6 baksetball competition is run in the last school term on Tuesday nights. Students participcate in mixed teams and it is a great introduction to the sport for both players, coaches and referees.
Year 7 & 8 Primary Schools Comp
The year 7 & 8 competition runs through early to mid year on a Thursday evening. Teams are mixed and there are different grades to enter in, with semis and finals a great challenge for the students at the end.
Secondary Schools Competition
From May/June through to September SCBA runs a very popular Friday night secondary schools competition with agegroups for junior - years 9 & 10, and senior - years 11,12 & 13. Various grades are available from social through to Senior Premier. Competitions are spread over multiple gyms with teams from Ashburton, to Farlie to Oamaru and inbetween entering. |
